Robert Burridge Workshop

Hail to the Chief

Robert Burridge Abstract Demonstration

I had the real pleasure of attending a Robert Burridge Workshop at Lake Granbury Art Association for April 29th through May 3rd.

My paintings were slow in developing as I had to miss the middle of the workshop for our student art show.  However, so far I have been able to finish nine of the mini paintings that I started.  I will upload bigger paintings later on this month as they are finished and the semester ends.  Thanks Bob!

Texture

Actual and Simulated Texture Paintings

Texture and pattern, repetition and rhythm are elements and principles of design that I have always been interested in as a painter.  These examples are what I did to as demonstrations to help students understand the idea.  I continued with the theme of flowers which I started with earlier examples.
